It’s great to be back in Europe.
There’s something so relaxed here. Even among the hustle and bustle of Berlin people take the time for a proper coffee.
I’ve just arrived from the USA via Iceland.
A proper coffee sits on the table before me.
And before I’m tempted to run off to the nearest source of German beer, I wanted to take a few minutes to share my thoughts.
Last summer I was in Italy, with a rented room in Palermo and plenty of time to write.
But I didn’t.
Sicily was overwhelming. The beauty, the smells, the food, and the warm people were too much to resist.
At least I managed to learn some Italian.
I was hoping to do more.
This time around I’m committed to sharing what I learn on my blog.
I’ve never been good at this.
It’s much easier for me to finish a big project with a clear goal than to be consistent over an extended period of time.
But I’m learning a lot of cool things out here, so it’s only right that I share.
In addition to travel, I’ve got stuff in the works about how to make a living on the road, personal freedom, and doing what you love.
If you’re one of the first, intrepid few to visit, I thank you.
